Monday was COLD! Ice on the ground and a real bone-chilling wind off the water waited Charles this morning as he continued his check-out process. A stop by the office where he was sent for a briefing revealed that he didn't have to sit through the briefing again (having just had it in England) so a bonus was handed to him. He'll complete the process for getting out of the Navy on Wednesday.
We enjoyed a nice lunch with a friend, Jeff Tisdale, at Applebees, getting caught up on folks we knew from Chaplain's school back in 1999. Then we went to the exchange and got introduced to the 21st century world of cell phones, whew! A lot has changed since we had some in Nebraska eight years ago!
Tonight we went out to eat with Jeff, his wife, Tracey, and their four children. A fun time was had and the food, at a BBQ place, was yummy!
Tomorrow we think we might enjoy some tourist activities...come back to the blog and see where we went!
