Sunday Praise

This morning, we travelled about an hour east on the interstate, to the town of Ogallala. Charles had been invited to preach at the United Methodist Church there, at their 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services. It was a wonderful morning of worship and fellowship!

Afterward, Jeff and Renee Meyer and their two sons treated us to lunch at a restaurant by Lake McConaughy. Junie-Mays restaurant is the place to go for a great lunch, to be sure. Go for their special, and you won't be disappointed! (www.505denver.homestead.com/files/BigMac1.htm.)
We certainly appreciated their warm hospitality!

We took our time driving back home to Sidney. We stopped by a few of the villages and towns along the way. When we got home, one of our neighbors stopped by and invited us to a cookout at their home. We took a quick nap, and off we went again. It was so wonderful to spend time with Bill and Linda and the other couples who joined us. We ate and laughed... and laughed: a great time was had by all!

Then on the way home, we stopped to chat with another couple who were enjoying the night air outside their home. They had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few days ago. We all enjoyed the beautiful night breeze together.

We feel so blessed to be finally "home!" It is such a joy to begin meeting neighbors and making new friends! Praise be to God!!!
